What Is Your Child Struggling With Most Right Now? Reading, Writing, Behaviour – something else?

Parenting and early learning can feel overwhelming, especially when you are not sure what to focus on first. Many parents of children aged 3 to 8 are trying to support learning at home while also helping their child grow in confidence, independence and readiness for school. It is not always easy to know where to begin.

I am currently developing several courses designed to support parents and children on their learning journey, and I would genuinely love to hear from you.

What challenges is your child facing most right now?

Is it reading, phonics, maths or behaviour? Are they finding it difficult to blend sounds, form letters correctly, hold a pencil, manage routines or feel confident in everyday learning?

Your answers will help shape the resources, videos and practical support I create, so that they are as useful and relevant as possible for families and educators supporting children in the early years.

In my recent video, I asked one simple question:

What are you struggling with most right now: reading, writing or behaviour?

These are some of the most common areas parents ask about:

Reading

This may include phonics, blending, comprehension, recognising sounds, building confidence, or supporting reluctant readers.

Writing

This may include pencil grip, letter formation, spelling, handwriting, fine motor development, or getting children interested in writing.

Behaviour

This may include listening, routines, tantrums, confidence, emotional regulation, or school readiness.

If you are supporting a child in early education, you are not alone. These early stages matter so much, and small changes at home can make a real difference over time.

My goal is to create simple, practical support that helps parents and teachers feel clearer, more confident and better equipped to help children thrive.

Please share your thoughts it the video comments.

You are also welcome to add your child’s age if that helps give more context.

Your feedback will help me create the most useful videos, courses and tips for families and educators who want to support children in the early years with confidence.

Thank you for being part of this journey.
